The Derby Area Netball Association (DANA) is a long-standing netball league in Derby, active for over 50 years. DANA is an England Netball-registered league with three divisions, operating on Monday evenings from 7–10 p.m. across various venues in the Derby City area.
All players and umpires must be members of England Netball, and umpires are required to hold at least a C Award qualification. Match schedules and umpiring commitments are available on the DANA league website.
The Yardley Netball League, founded in 1993 in Derbyshire with just four teams, was created to offer a safe and supportive space for players returning to netball to enjoy the game and develop their skills.
The league has since grown to include junior, senior, and open sections, but its mission remains unchanged—providing a nurturing environment for player development. The Open section serves as a bridge between the grassroots focus of the league and more competitive leagues like DANA. Matches are held on Tuesday nights, welcoming players of all abilities to grow within a supportive community.
Two Counties was created to bring together clubs in the Nottinghamshire area, filling a gap in junior competitions and providing a range of tournament levels. Initially designed as fun, relaxed monthly tournaments for newer teams, our first year was a success. Today, it is a well-established league offering regular tournaments for both junior and senior teams, alongside a league that provides valuable playing opportunities.
Two counties also supports the development of players, coaches, umpires, and volunteers by offering training and hands-on experience for juniors and seniors at Two Counties events.
The Burton and District Netball League is a competitive, dynamic league offering Winter and Summer seasons across three divisions to suit all skill levels.
In Winter, matches are held indoors on Tuesday nights, while the Summer League brings outdoor games on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights, expanding playing opportunities. Whether aiming for the top or seeking fun, challenging competition, the league provides a lively, competitive environment for netball players in the Burton and District area.
High Peak Netball Club (HPNC) is a grassroots league serving North Derbyshire. The league has expanded over the years, now including a Junior section as well as Back to Netball and Walking Netball sessions.
HPNC is dedicated to fostering player development in a supportive environment. England Netball has awarded HPNC the bronze CAPS accreditation, recognizing the club's qualified personnel and strong operational standards.
Join Walking Netball at Derby Arena on Monday from 11 am to 12 pm
